Brace Yourself for Summer

Summer is just around the corner. Its that time of the year when hustle bustle of life returns after a long time. Summers are fun and give a very refreshing meaning to life, so make sure you do the following to keep everything according to the season.

Dress up: Wear skirts and dresses to flaunt that summer style. Use light colours, pastels like blues, pinks, peaches, yellows and whites work best for summer.  Light colours emit a very cool feeling to the eyes.

Water: There is nothing in the world that can take its place. Keep a bottle of water with you all the time. You can make your own flavoured water with infusions teas. My favourites are raspberry and strawberry. Squeeze one tea bag in one litre of hot water and 3 table spoons of honey. Allow it to cool, put it in the fridge overnight so it’s cold the next morning when you are going to work or out and about.

Moisturize: Do not use an oil based moisturizer, use a neutral one so that it does not spoil your foundation in the heat. It is very important to drink water to keep the skin naturally hydrated.

Makeup: Apply a light eye shadow all over the lids, apply a very thin line of eye liner, curl your lashes and apply mascara Apply white, black or dark brown eye pencil on your water line. Contour your cheeks with a bronzer, use pink blush on apples of your cheeks, finish off the look by using a light pink or a peach lipstick.

Shoes: This may be the most exciting part of the season. Wear sandals or flip flops. They look trendy and it’s finally the time to show off those pretty feet and toes!

Paint those nails: Now that you can wear summer shoes, paint your toe nails with lovely colours.
