Vishal Malhotra (Ahad Raza Mir) is a normal school kid who is carefree and loves to play the guitar.

After his father’s death, he feels he is the only man in his household and hence needs to step up and take his responsibilities. Dhoop Ki Deewar Epsiode 1 and 2 Review

Seeing Vishal’s videos on Indian media where he is praising his father’s heroicness, Sara comments to tell the world that it was in fact her father who was more brave.

Sara and Vishal’s online argument sends the media on both sides into a frenzy. Media giants want to interview both families for their own ratings.

One day Vishal realises that Sara’s family is probably also going through the same problems so he massages her on facebook. This sows seeds for an unusual friendship that most people would disapprove of. What follows is a series of audio conversations that gradually build the story.

All the actors have depicted phenomenally the flow of raw emotions and reaction to the news of death.

Samina Ahmed and Manzar Sehbai, who play the role of Colonel Sher Ali’s parents, depict emotions in such a realistic way. Zaib Rehman, who plays Colonel Vijay Malhotra’s mother, is also phenomenal as always.

Savera Nadeem and Samiya Mumtaz who play Amna and Sunanda respectively, show us what wives of martyred army personnels go through.

Zara Tareen and Paras Masroor play husband-wife who live in Canada. Zara plays Colonel Malhotra’s sister. Influenced by her greedy husband, she asks her mother for her share so they can buy a better house in Canada.

Zara and Paras as always have done an amazing job playing their respective roles.

Amna’s brother (Sajeer-ud-Din), on the other side of the border, also wants a share of his sister’s inheritance. This shows how some relatives are extremely unhelpful when the head of the family passes away.

Dhoop Ki Deewar is an amalgamation of brilliant story telling, acting and teamwork. Although a very unrealistic story, Dhoop Ki Deewar still gives us hope and a message of love.

Zee5 Global Releases weekly episodic premiere of Dhoop Ki Deewar every Friday. It is not available for binge watching as yet. Instead, a weekly dose of amazingness is what we all look forward to watching.
