Keep it simple

Is your blog too colourful? The first thing is to keep your blog very simple. Try bringing it down to just 2 colours. The background sould be white as white makes blog posts and photos stand out. You can also look for a free theme that you love.

Picture size

Make sure the size of your photos is uniform throughout. It will make your blog look very professional.

Slider

Use a slider on the header position of your blog, where you can put the blog posts that you think people will be very interested in reading.

Move To a Self Hosted Site:

If you are blogging just for fun then maybe it’s ok, but if you want to do it for a living then its best to move to a self hosted website. It not only makes it look more professional but also attracts more companies and brands to work with you.

English and Grammar

Make sure you use simple English so that more people can understand you. Also thoroughly check for any grammatical mistakes as this can really put people off.

Social Media Icons

Use social media icons on your blog too get more followers, especially Twitter.

Subscribe and Contact boxes

Install plugins for subscription to your blog and so people can easily contact you.
