Peggy Porschen Cakes & Cafe Review
Peggy Porschen Cakes & Cafe Review: My sister decided to give me a nice birthday breakfast when it was my birthday on the 1st of October. We decided to go to Peggy Porchen Cafe. I was really excited since I’ve seen so many bloggers eating there and taking amazing photos.
I don’t know why I thought it was around Notting Hill. Probably because of its pink-ness. But it is in fact near Victoria station. Peggy Porschen Cakes & Cafe Review
I took my rose gold balloons just to add to some niceness of the photos. Sadly, we lost the heart shaped one at Oxford Circus station as it got off the string and made its way to the platform where it flew away with the train. Sad story.
I chose to wear all white just to match with the pink decor of Peggy Porschen.

Any way, my heart skipped a beat when I saw it. It looked like a jewel in a crown sitting between many posh and expensive fashion shops and eateries.
When we went inside, it was absolutely full. There were just 3 or 4 tables inside and it didn’t look like anyone had the plan to leave any time soon. Peggy Porschen Cakes & Cafe Review
We asked one of the staff members if there were more tables inside some where, she said no and that we must wait outside for our turn. So we went out. Luckily there was a table available outside and we took it reluctantly. The weather wasn’t so great and we didn’t feel comfortable sitting in the cold weather outside. We ordered our respective choices.
I ordered a raspberry rose cake which was £6 something per slice to eat in and a cappuccino. The cappuccino wasn’t out of this world. The icing on the cake tasted a lot like a block of margarine. It wasn’t anything special either. The sponge was also dry.
I really thought Peggy Porchen needs a proper visit by one of the Great British Bake Off judges. Mary Berry kept popping in my head.
My sister ordered a red velvet cupcake and a drink. The cupcake was smaller than Lola’s Red Velvet cupcake and wasn’t as yummy.
Yes, the food wasn’t anything special.
I’ve had much more tastier cakes and coffees for half the price. Sadly for me Peggy Porchen cakes and cafe were both overrated.
By the time we got done with our food, we decided to take some photos. There was a queue of people waiting to sit. A lady was staring at me with anger, signalling me to hurry up and finish my coffee and get up and go. I literally gulped down my coffee and got up to give her the table followed by an apology. I really don’t know why I apologised but I shouldn’t have had to rush like that.
Peggy Porshen is pretty but that’s all that is to it.
The space is small with less seating and long queues. The food is not that special.
We took some more photos and then left.
Honestly I wasn’t impressed at all.
