Quick makeup tips come in handy when you’re being lazy or you’re in a hurry to go somewhere. Here’s a step by step tutorial to do your makeup in 5 minutes or less.

After getting a huge success with my posts ‘Laundry Tips for Lazy People‘ and ‘5 Top Tips To Kill Procrastination‘ I’m now writing a post on Quick Makeup Tips for Lazy People.

Yes, I’m the queen of laziness. When I was working in an office I used to sleep 5 to 10 minutes extra because I always did my makeup on the train. Yes I’m one of those girls you see doing their makeup on the train. The annoying ones. haha!

Even on the train, I would find the quickest way to do my makeup especially when I got a place to sit just 3 stations before my station. Luckily I didn’t travel on the underground so that meant I still had 5 minutes to do it as overground trains in London are not as fast.

I hated carrying brushes with me. I think brushes make me take longer to do my makeup. Plus I only use brushes when I’m off to an occasion. When I really need that flawless professional finish.

I use my good old hands to do my makeup from A-Z. This might sound like it takes long but trust me, it’s the quickest way.

I reckon you do apply a day cream when you’re at home. Come on, don’t be that lazy!

I did this on the train out of pure laziness but it can be done any where, any day and any time.

Foundation: The best thing to use is a cream foundation. I like to use the Illamasqua cream foundation as it just glides on my skin. Just quickly take some of it on your fingers and apply it very lightly all over your face.

Eye Makeup:

Use an eye shadow palette that has at least 4 colours in it, like this chanel quad with all-purpose eye colours..

  • Take a light shade on your ruby ring finger and apply it all over your eyelid.
  • Take a dark brown shade on the same finger and apply it on your crease.
  • Take a bit of black eye shadow and just apply it on the corner of your eyes.
  • Highlight your brow bone with the lightest shade
  • Using your ruby ring finger, very lightly blend the harsh lines.
  • Apply an eyeliner. I’m in love with this Eyeko Fat Eyeliner these days. It just quickly sit on my eyes and I don’t need to fill it in.
  • Line your water line with a black crayon eyeliner, like this YSL eyeliner that is great quality
  • Apply a mascara. My favourite one is this chanel volume mascara in Noir. It effortlessly gives both length and volume to your eyelashes.

There! Your eyes are done. Dont forget to do your eyebrows too. This Maybelline Eyebrow Pencil quickly fills in your brows, you don’t have to sit and give them shape, it just does it for you.

Blushing, Contouring and Highlighting:

  • Blush your cheeks. It’s best to use a cream blusher as it’s quickest to blend it with your fingers. I love this Maybelline Cream Blush in Fresh Pink. It goes with every skin tone.
  • Same goes for contouring.  I like the sleek contouring palette. It just takes 5 seconds to contour and highlight but for this you will require a brush.

Lips:

There’s no need to line your lips or to go over your lipstick with a gloss to make it look sultry. Just use a lipstick or a lipgloss. Master the art of doing it perfectly so you just have to use one product and not 10 of them to make your lips look ahmazing!
