About Tan Organic
You may know the Tan Organic brand from the popular UK television show Dragons Den; where Tan Organic’s founder Noelle O’Connor stared down the dragons in their longest ever interrogation of over 2 hours and won a hefty dose of support! It just goes to show that when you do your research and know your stuff, that success will come knocking on your door. I’m equally impressed that this isn’t Noelle’s first rodeo. She was a young mum and entrepreneur with a growing chain of beauty salons before circumstances seemed to pile against her and the business failed to sell. She didn’t give up and started a distribution business and formulating Tan Organic.
The products themselves show the same level of passion and thoroughness. Noelle may claim just to have been in the right place at the right time, but I beg to differ, ‘fail to prepare, and prepare to fail’ as they say, definitely does not apply here. The company uses natural and organic ingredients and is the only Eco-Certified self tanning brand in the world. Their packaging also uses glass instead of plastic and biodegradable PLA for their travel size products (made from extracts of corn). They are certified to the hilt with an EcoCert, Suitable for vegetarians, Organic Trust Cert, vouched for by the Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible, PETA approved, approved by the Irish Eczema society and approved by the Ethical Company Organisation as well.
The Moisturising Facial Serum
The Moisturising serum is made up of 8 different plant oils including argan oil, borage seed oil and rosehip oil. It is also rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants, which helps to reduce the signs of ageing and wrinkles. The smell is amazing! It has a fresh citrus scent that leaves me feeling awake and optimistic.
This light facial serum is great for all skin complexions and unlike traditional creams, absorbs quickly if not instantly. The oil gives the skin a visible glow once it settles in and is a great base for makeup. I prefer to let it work its magic on it’s own and put as little makeup over the top as possible. Since using the serum, my spots have become minimal and have almost completely disappeared.
How to Apply
This product is multi-purpose, so there are 3 ways to apply. The handy glass dropper makes it easy to measure out exactly what you need wasting no product.
Method 1: Apply a couple drops to the face after a shower and/or cleansing; massage into the skin and proceed with your daily evening or morning routine.
Method 2: Mix it in with your foundation! This was new to me, but it turns out to give just about any foundation a dewy, natural finish.
Method 3: Dispense a few drops into the palm of your hand and work it into your hair. It gives your hair a natural looking glossy finish and even helps protect against environmental damages.
Final Impression
I’m definitely impressed with the company and the product itself. I’ll get so much use out of it I’d consider repurchasing and/or trying out the rest of the range. It’s a thumbs up from me for the Tan Organic Moisturizing Facial Serum.
